Size Zero Debate & Size Zero Pills

size zero models

Size zero models, read about size zero models and see pictures of size zero models, are size zero models too thin, catwalk size zero models.

In 2006 Luisel Ramos a model from Uraguay was one of the top models in the world at the age of 22 although she was already thin she was told that she needed to loose some more weight so she ate just salads and drank diet coke to reach a size zero, after being on this diet she said she felt unwell and then died from a heart attack.

The fashion industry has been obsessed with getting size zero models to model their clothes and some girls have got so thin that they get ill or even die, several fashion shows have banned size zero models and they decided that the best way to do it was to ban any model with a BMI of less than 18, your BMI is calculated by your weight in kilograms and divide by your height in metres squared, both the Milan and London fashion shows have raised concerns.
But not everyone seems to think that size zero models are a problem, Hilary Riva, chief executive of the British Fashion Council (BFC), organiser of London Fashion Week said ‘The BFC does not comment or interfere in the aesthetic of any designers show’ and Stuart Rose, M&S chief executive and a former chairman of the BFC said ‘nobody would want to use a model who was unhealthy, i would say there has been a bit of an overreaction’, Erin O’Connor is one of the faces of M&S and at 6ft weighs around 9 stone.

One of the few fashion houses to go against the size zero model trend is Nicole Farhi who have said ‘we’ve never really gone for the skeletal look models, we make clothes for proper women, our average dress size is around 8 or 10.
